This was one of the most anticipated shows of the year for me. There was no way that I was going to miss this one. Once again I was a little disappointed that they weren't the headlining act, or for that fact even playing second. Still it was great to see them.

When I arrived I was a little bummed that there was only like 40 people there, but that was more the promoters fault than anything else. And really the bands got their money regardless, so it just made the show more intimate for the few fans that did show up.

It was pretty great to see them in such a setting, part way through the set they announced that they were planning on playing all new material (and they did play roughly half the set of new material) but said that they weren't expecting anyone to know them, and that since some of us did know them they would play whatever we wanted. I immediately demanded that they play Let's Hear It For Dartanian which I later found out that they hadn't played in about two years. Well, the great news is that they played it, and it kicked ass, they even managed to play the riff without any errors... wow.

Well they played a decently long set, and closed with an incredibly passionate version of If They Move... Kill Them, once again, wow. I need to see them again.
